Your greatness is not what you have, it's what you give.

The first of October and it was too hot to knit outside!

Believe it or not, it was too hot to sit on the deck today. Well, the humidity was too uncomfortable too. So we sat in the family room with the ceiling fan on high and managed to make the experience pleasant. Everyone worked busily on their projects.
Janna's 1898 hat worked up very quickly. She hadn't made one in a while so she was pleasantly surprised at just how quickly. And her kitchener join looked beautiful. You can't even see where the stitches were grafted! A few more rows and it will be done.
Debbie started this hat this afternoon with the pretty lime green yarn. She also took home a few balls of yarn so she can work on some other projects.
And look at the beautiful hat Elaine worked on today. Those cables and designs are quite the design element. She is doing a great job!
Barbara K.'s Palindrome scarf has a bit to go before it's finished. Her stitch tension is so even that it makes those cables stand out nicely.
Jan is working on the Layne hat. Unfortunately, the website from which she got the free pattern is no longer available.
The colors of the variegated yarn she chose are great for this slouchy hat.
And look at Liz's hands go! She's trying to finish her scarf before she heads back to Florida for the winter.
I was browsing through some stitch patterns and found the seersucker stitch which inspired me to make this cowl. The site offers a variety of stitches with instructions to knit flat or in the round. I have two more rows to go and it will be done.
Carole has only a quarter inch to go and then she can bind off these adorable baby socks.
For now she's decided to knit the Mistake Stitch hat. She decided to use up the Knit Picks Wool of the Andes which was left after she finished her Irma hat.
Dorah forgot her pattern again so she decided to make a stockinette hat with a lovely twisted rib edging.
My Helix hat is finished and it turned out just the way I pictured it. I love when that happens!
Jan's finished hat is actually a deeper gray but the camera does funny things to the color.
Debbie added another Watchman's Ribbed hat to the inventory.
And Elaine finished her Mistake Stitch Scarf.
Here is Carole's Irma hat all ready for it's recipient. I might have to try this pattern. She said it's easy as long as you don't get distracted.
But isn't that true for most knitting patterns?
Have a great week and keep those needles clicking!
