We have a new Grandma among the Chicks!

Last week Barbara became a first time grandma to Isabella. We all couldn't wait to see pictures of the precious little one.
And here she is! What a beauty! And Barbara is so proud! Isabella is so aware and looking so fashionable in Grandma's handknitted sweater and hat. God bless you Isabella! Grandma Barb and Grandpa Mickey are going to have fun spoiling you!
We all enjoyed knitting on the deck for the first time this year and if you look closely on the right you'll see we have visitors this week.
But first the knitting. Kathleen finished another Gansey pullover. It's hard to tell in this photo but the color is a rich, deep teal. She might even have enough yarn to make a hat to go with it.
Speaking of hats, Kathleen added a few more to the inventory.
Barbara is working on a lovely cabled wrap. The KnitPicks yarn is working up beautifully.
And Liz finished a sleeve of this cardigan by the time we were done.
I added some length to the scarf that uses Noro Kureyon and Cascade 220. But I don't think there will be enough of the pink yarn to make it as long as I would like so I'll be turning up one end and attaching it to make a keyhole through which the other end will slide.
Leo joined in the conversation while enjoying the afternoon sun. He and his big brother Moose brought Mommy up for a visit to celebrate Independence Day.
While the Chicks knitted Moose found treasures. He proudly showed us his blue jay feather and then rushed inside to clean it.
I ran to the grocery store after the Chicks left and the boys "drove" the grocery cart for me.
The evening group worked on a scarf and a blanket. Beth is making the Batkus scarf/shawl, a free pattern from Ravelry. Maureen finished the parts of the sweater she was making but has to wait to block it before she sews it together. In the meantime, she has to finish up a baby blanket before the wee one arrives.
I'm having a great visit with the boys and enjoy awakening to the smiles every morning.
Moose has decided that we'll be celebrating Independence Day poolside. So I need to get my stuff in gear.
Have a safe celebration everyone!

What fun! Your grandboys are so adorable. And Barbara's granddaughter is a gorgeous baby. Maybe she'll marry one of yours when they all grow up? Worked for my folks and their close friends (exhibit A and 32 years of marriage). You never know.
