The two Barbaras and I delivered our babies and Moms items to Mom Starts Here in Schenectady today and then we stopped at The Blue Ribbon Diner ( https://restaurant.blueribbonrestaurant.com/) for a little treat. Barbara B had a cannoli, Barbara K had a lemon-raspberry cake, and I had a chocolate mousse cake. After all the knitting we thought the least we could do was reward ourselves with a little dessert! 😉
Since we didn’t get any photographs of the event, I thought I would post a free pattern for a headband. It uses a sport weight yarn and size 4 needle with magic loop technique. It was easy to make and is a good Netflixing project.
Using provisional cast on, CO 45 sts for magic loop
22 sts on front needle, 23 sts on back needle
K every round for 22cm or 8.5 inches
For the next 9 rounds:
K2, P2, to last 2 sts, K2 on front needle
K1, P1, to last st, K1 on back needle
Place first 10 sts on spare needle and hold in front
Place next 2 sts on spare needle and hold in back
K2, P2 on remaining sts ending with K2
K the 2 sts from the back needle
K2, P2 ending with K2 from front needle, K1, P1 across back needle then resume pattern for 9 rounds
K every round for 22cm or 8.5 inches
Graft ends using kitchener stitch. One size only.
I hope you like this pattern. Check back next week to see what’s on our needles. In the meantime, keep yours clicking!
